The concept that brought to the foundation of Medifood is that of being a company with a mission. It has been built up through several decades of olives cultivation and olive oil production.

Medifood was founded after the liberalisation of the olive oil sector in Tunisia and in a short period of time, became a reference in the sector, especially for exporting first quality Extra-Virgin Olive Oil to the United States and Europe.

We took advantage of a long experience transmitted through generations within the BELKHIRIA family, as they set up their first olive oil mill early last century.

Our expertise lies in being able to provide Extra-Virgin Olive oil to clients with different needs and a deep knowledge of the olive oil sector.

Ruspina^Ž is an extra Virgin Olive Oil of an excellent quality because it is extracted from the finest selected olives from the sahel region of Tunisia which is considered as one of the best soils ( 6 millions olive trees) and cold pressed according to techniques tuned up over the years.

Ruspina^Ž is distinguished by its golden colour, intense bouquet and delicate taste, which make it the ideal, cholesterol free, ingredient for salad dressings and sauces.

Medifood has a 2.000 MT of stocking capacity and a plant which allows us to fill up to 18 MT per day. The plant is equipped with high standard filling lines, for bottles as well as for tins and cans to control and protect this gourmet product as per international standards. Its trademark RUSPINA^Ž became now a synonym of prime quality Extra-Virgin olive oil.

From the organoleptic characteristics, the acidity level, the peroxide level and all other indicators through the whole process from the field to bulk transportation, from the plant and warehouse and to the port, the process is carried out as per international standards (International Olive Oil Council)International Olive Oil Council).
